Here is an opportunity to help improve the maligned Golden Ears Trail and mountain campsite.

The new Golden Ears rangers want to organize a large volunteer work crew on Panorama Ridge when a helicopter becomes available off the fire line in August. You won't get a ride, but your backpack load would be lightened. You could choose between light and heavy duty work; and you could likely choose to camp over or stay for the day. No date yet. There probably will not be a long advance notice once we get a chopper.
