I *had* the MEC Kelvin summer pad. Best sleep ever. 8cm thick, it's the poorman's neoair.
However it did hold air for the night, it's super compact, and it's $100 less than the neoair.
I highly recommend it, however I only used it once before I forgot to pack it out (it's moss and rock coloured), so I can't comment on durability, but MEC stands behind on what they sell.
There have been alot of complaints and issues on the MEC site regarding durability, but I think that it falls into the 'very light weight' category. If you jump on it like a big belly flop, yes, you'll probably blow the baffles. It you treat it like ultra light gear, it will probably hold up for years.
It's just a summer pad, but if you have a heavier warmer bag, it will help expand your winter bag into summer use, and for winter, I would think a smaller thin blue pad would help with heat loss. I'm more of a summer person, so this pad is just fine.
