Default West Lion to Lions Bay ski

I've done the Howe Sound Crest Trail on foot as a day trip in fall. It didn't realize how scenic it would in the winter. Starting from the Cypress parking lot. Up Strachan down Christmas Gully then along the Howe Sound Crest trail. To the base of the West Lion and skied with amazing views of the ocean into Lions bay.

Thanks to the skier from the Squamish who kindly drove us all the way back to our parked car at Cypress. I'll be sure to return the favour next time a climber, skier, hiker needs to get back to there car after an epic.

Wow that is one epic trip indeed. Wondered how the snow was further down when you were skiing amongst the trees into Lions Bay

The skiing was marginal and steep and tight in the trees, plus trying not to miss the trial turnoff. So much snow this year. We skied within a few Kms, of the trailhead parking lot.
